Where we're going we don't need roads...

Welcome to our school! We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.

Purpose and Philosophy

(2.206.B.1)
The purpose of the Weld Re-8 Preschool Program is to provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum for young learners. Our focus is to prepare children for Kindergarten in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment. Children will develop and progress in their learning through exploration and hands-on experiences. Staff will provide intentional learning opportunities, while building upon fundamental academic skills for a successful future. Weld Re-8 is proud to offer an inclusive preschool program experience. Weld Re8 Preschool adheres to the Joint Position Statement on Early Childhood Inclusion from the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) as guiding philosophy that drives instruction and practices: We support the right of every young child and his or her family, regardless of ability, to participate in a broad range of activities and contexts as full members of families, communities, and society. The desired results of inclusive experiences for children with and without disabilities and their families include a sense of belonging and membership, positive social relationships and friendships, and development and learning to reach their full potential.
